We have developed TurboIIS specifically for the technology of IIS 6
IIS 6 isolates the different work processes in a web garden. This allows the system to run even if one work process crashes, as the requests will simply be re-routed to a functioning work process. In the meantime, the faulty work process is repaired and will eventually continue to process requests. The end user sees a seamless, flawless execution with no system crashes.
Typically a compression engine would have to function with each work process separately, using separate caches and excess memory usage, possibly causing overloads therefore making the process of compression futile.
Current compression engines on the market can only work with Windows 2003 if it is in IIS 5.0 Isolation Mode, which means the user would not get the advantages of IIS 6.
TurboIIS is different. It creates a service to which all of the isolated worker process can refer. Instead of running one TurboIIS for each work process, TurboIIS emcompasses the web garden and the TurboCache is located outside of it. All of the isolated work processes can share the same cache, eliminating redundant access of the database, and using very little memory.
All work processes refer to one central TurboIIS service bringing about effective compression and accelerated website download speeds.
Compress your graphics too! TurboIIS also features the option to downsample JPGs by up to 50%. Just like all the TurboIIS products, there is automatic lossless compression of all compressable image types, however, for the compression of JPGs, TurboIIS includes the option to activate downsampling. This is a lossy compression method which can compress JPGs by 50%, speeding up
download times dramatically for graphics-heavy sites. Learn more...
